Meetings are held at 2.00pm on the first Monday of each month with the exception of January and Public Holidays.
No meeting is held in January and if a Monday is a Public Holiday then our meeting is held on the following Monday.

Our Computer Pals Club meets at the East Lindfield Community Centre
at 9 Wellington St, East Lindfield on the first Monday of each month (except for Jan. and public holidays) from 2.00 pm until approximately 3.30 pm.

  • We start with a short Welcome, any Club news and often a short Questions & Answers Session.
  • This is followed by a speaker and demonstration on a variety of computer related subjects. A discussions on this talk follows.
  • We conclude with a cup of tea or coffee, a biscuit and a chat.

Prior speakers and discussions have included:

  • One guest speaker explained how a computer is made up, taking the back off and removing the components. He passed them around to show us what the hard drive, C.D. Rom and floppy disk look like.
  • On other occasions he gave us demonstrations of digital cameras, printers and scanners and spoke about Internet cafes.
  • Another regular guest is a local teacher with some of her year 5 and 6 students. The students have demonstrated their use of PowerPoint and how they set up web pages.
  • Other talks have included a demonstration on using Internet Banking, how to use Excel to simplify our tax returns, how to have fun with photographs, the basics of setting up personal websites and a demonstration of a genealogy software programme.

Our monthly meetings are relaxed and friendly.
