Training Courses

Where?
All courses are held in the Training Room. This is at the rear of East Lindfield Community Centre, 9 Wellington Rd., where we have our meetings.

How?
Our approach is for all lessons to be One-to-one (one tutor for one student). We have found that this is more flexible and provides learning better suited to each individual.

What?
The courses we offer are:

Word Processing (Microsoft Word)
The Basic Word Course.
An introduction to using computers and basic Word Processing:
Eight weekly sessions of 1 hour each:     $96

This Basic Word course can be taken in two parts to allow more flexibility. Basic Word Course Part 1. Four weekly sessions of 1 hour each:    $48
Basic Word Course Part 2. Four weekly sessions of 1 hour each:    $48

Email & Internet. 

Length depends on the student's needs and stage of learning:     $12 per hour.

Spreadsheet (Excel). 

Seven weekly sessions of 1 hour each:    $84

Problem Solving and Refresher lessons are available at $12 per hour

Digital Photography and Using Picasa lessons are available at $12 per hour

Note: Access to a computer at home is essential as practice is most important.

IBM compatible PCs are used with Windows XP and Vista Home Premium.
Classes are also provided for Apple/Mac users.
